Genealogy Research: Historical research services are offered to anyone looking for information that may be contained in our collection of historical materials, mainly birth, death, and marriage records. We have copies of The Courier-Express on microfilm dating back to 1892 and some local school yearbooks with the DuBois High School dating as far back as 1920. However, the library charges a fee of $3.00 for each request. This pays for the search and one print copy. Any pages beyond the first are $1.00 each. All of this will be sent to you via mail. If we are unable to find the information, the search itself is still a cost of $3.00 and we will contact you to let you know that we were unable to find the requested information. The requirements for these requests are the name(s) of person(s), specific date(s) of event(s) (birth-date, marriage date, death date) and payment in advance for each request. You may submit a check, cash or money order along with the requested information and your return address to the DuBois Public Library, 31 S. Brady Street, DuBois PA 15801. You may also send requests by email to Jen at [email protected].
