Tiny Tuesdays Every Tuesday morning from June 7 through July 26, except for July 5.
10:00 – 10:45 AM Spend a happy summer morning at the library with your little ones age 3 –
Program Room 5. It's a great time to enjoy a good story, finger plays, puppets, songs, crafts,
and activities.
Stop 'n Flops Every Wednesday morning from June 8 through July 27.
11:00 – 11:30 AM Take time out of your busy week to Stop at the children's library and Flop
Children's Library down on the floor with your child for a mini story hour complete with
songs, finger plays, and, of course, stories! This program is geared to children
age 2-4.
Library in the Park Every Thursday afternoon from June 9 through July 28.
2:00 – 3:00 PM For children in grades K-5, these afternoons in the park will be both fun and
Large Pavilion (sshhh!) educational from beginning to end! You will not want to miss a
behind YMCA single one! Note: If the weather is inclement, the event will be held in the
Program Room.
Special Events
June 9 Kick-Off Event International Fair
2:00 – 3:00 PM Games, crafts, and snacks from around the world. Learn a little bit about
Large pavilion other cultures right in your own hometown! Get in the mood for a great
behind YMCA summer of reading, prizes and FUN for everyone! Geared to kids age 3 – 10.
June 18 Mid-Month Movie Moment - Night at the Museum: Battle of the
1:30 - 3:30 PM Smithsonian. Preview the movie, learn about the artifacts and exhibits
brought to life through the movie, and get inspired to make a family visit to
these wonderful and free Museums. (Movie Rated: PG)
June 21 Magic Show: M & M MAGIC
6:30 – 7:30 PM Spend a magical evening at the library with these teen brothers who will
Program Room amaze and entertain you with their skill at hocus-pocus. Everyone is invited!
This event is sponsored by the DuBois Area Kiwanis Club.
July 5 Puppet Show Steve Abrams, Puppeteer
2:00 – 3:00 Who can resist a puppet? Join this talented performer for an afternoon of fun
Program Room and laughter at the library! Everyone is invited. This event is sponsored by

July 7 Stories in the Park ALAN IRVINE, STORYTELLER
2:00 – 3:00 Get set to be enthralled by stories from this gifted performer from
Large pavilion Pittsburgh. He will be on hand to entertain you with tales from around the
behind YMCA world. Everyone is invited. This event is sponsored by the DuBois Area
Kiwanis Club.
July 11 – 16 Royalty Week
Tiny Tuesday This week will feature a morning every little prince or princess will
adore. Come to the library in your favorite Princess, Knight-in-shining-
armor, Prince, Queen or King costume and be ready for some royal fun!
There will smiles and giggles galore at this event. Parents, bring your
camera!
Stop ‘n Flop Royalty Week continues on Wednesday morning, as we feature Royal
Stories and Songs.
Library in the Park "Medieval Market Day” - As part of PRINCESS WEEK, the kids will be
given “currency” to make and buy items that would appeal to children of
the middle ages. Have a wee taste of a medieval marketplace. Feel free to
come in costume!
July 19 Kindermusik
10:00-10:45 AM Barb Keller will be our Tiny Tuesdays guest. She will conduct a session of
Kindermusik for the enjoyment of the little ones!
July 19 Sesame Street: Get Healthy Now!
6:30 – 7:30 Our Sesame Street friends would like everyone to form healthy habits for a
Program Room happy life! Want your kids to eat their broccoli?? Come for a fun and
educational evening at the library. Geared to children age 2 - 7. Families will
be given a free Sesame Street DVD and booklet.

June 16 Sue Rensel, Environmental Education Specialist from Clear Creek State Park:
Wings Across the Borders. People aren't the only ones who fly to exotic places
for the winter! Many birds and some butterflies travel thousands of miles to a
rainforest canopy during our winter months. Discover how and why they
return to our part of the country every spring!
June 23 Ronda Stiles from Penn State Cooperative Extension: Destination: Italia!
Take a virtual trip to Italy, the birthplace of pizza, and learn about good
nutrition at the same time. As a special treat we'll make Pyramid Pizza:
Molto bene!
June 30 Who lived here first?? Ken Burkett from the Jefferson County History
Center in Brookville will be on hand with facts and artifacts from our area's
first inhabitants. You won't want to miss this!

July 21 Galen Kilmer, Local History Teacher: Who Were They and Why Did They
Come Here? Ever wonder why immigrants picked Clearfield County for
their American destination? Mr. Kilmer knows, and he's anxious to tell you
all about it!
July 28 Dewey's Amazing Race In this game players complete challenges based on
the subject categories of the Dewey Decimal System. Kids will be amazed
at how much fun they will have with this fast-paced game!
July 30 Summer Reading ends. Time to pick up certificates and prizes! But never
stop reading! Its benefits and pleasures last a lifetime!
