Fall Basket Raffle Details

10/28/2013

November is a busy time at the DuBois Public Library.  Although we are reluctantly preparing for the colder months to come, we can’t help but look forward to our annual fall basket raffle!  Every year in early November, we accept basket donations that are put on display at the library for two weeks.  Everyone is welcome to come in and look at the baskets and purchase tickets in the hopes of becoming a winner!

We accept basket donations from anyone that is willing to put one together for the raffle.  Normally, the donor chooses a theme based on a book and includes the book along with items that match the theme.  The basket is then covered with plastic so that everything stays together and nothing is lost.  In the past we have had some fun baskets ranging from chocolate, to gardening, to movies with the grandkids, to cooking.  We gladly receive the many baskets and enjoy the themes that people come up with every year.

This year we will be accepting basket donations November 1st and 2nd.  The basket raffle will begin on Tuesday, November 12 and end Friday, November 22 at 2pm, when we will draw the winning names.  Tickets will be available for purchase during the raffle and will cost $1 each.

Everyone is welcome to visit the library and look through the many baskets that will be available.  Tickets will be available at the front desk for purchase.  As always, if you have any questions just give us at call at the DuBois Public Library at 371-5930.
